Film Crew

Pelagic Productions can lead or assist any diving or underwater filming project you may have. With extensive experience shooting both underwater and topside, we are ideally equipped to work with you and have the skills and knowledge to provide an invaluable service to any underwater production. 

Steve is a member of the International Association of Wildlife Filmmakers (IAWF) and a number of New Zealand and Australia associations' specialsing in wildlife documentary film making, both above and beneath the waves.

  • Sony: High Definition EX-3 HD camcorder. Recording in multiple HD formats including: 1080 30P & 25P, 1080 50i & 60i etc, in both PAL and NTSC.

  • 16x9: EX 0.75 Aspheric wide-angle lens.

  • Amphibico: X3 Hybrid underwater video housing enclosing Convergent Design Nano Flash.Wide angle and macro lenses.

  • Amphibico: Discovery G3 35/50 watt HID Professional lighting kit.

  • Convergent Design: Nano Flash HD/SD recorder.

  • Gates: Underwater tripod for housing.

  • Manfrotto fluid-head tripod


Extensive experience with many Sony and Panasonic cameras both large and small format, as well as Gates, Light & Motion, Ikelite and other Amphibico underwater housings.
